It's been raining like crazy these last few days. I love it. It's warm and cozy, all the plants growing lush and green. When it's not pouring I've been going out for walks, jumping in puddles, my skin feels great. Hopefully we will get a break soon for those areas that are flooding.
Yesterday the rain was really coming down hard and I didn't feel like crocheting so I got my out my stainless pot and dyed a couple of skeins of alpaca. One will go to my secret pal who likes alpaca and the other will go in my stash awaiting inspiration.
The alpaca is wonderfully soft and light. The skeins I got were made in Peru, a sport weight 3-ply. The first skein was dyed a blend of lavender, teal and green. The colors blended nicely together and it turned out lovely. Just imagine the possibilities.
The second skein was dyed lavender and pink. The pink turned out much brighter than I wanted. Time to overdye?
